Will Mari is a Ph.D. student in the University of Washington’s Department of Communication. He has a M.Phil. in history from the University of Cambridge, and undergraduate degrees in journalism and history from the University of Washington. He studies media history, particularly the history of professional identities within journalism, and how these have changed/are changing over time. He is also interested in how historical memory is used online. To that end, he's intrigued with how the “high ground” of shared public memory is shared and contested online in revolutionary environments. Will drinks too much tea (with too much sugar), and likes to dabble in the journalism he studies. |
