Lori MatsukawaLori Matsukawa Inducted into Silver Circle by Northwest Chapter of National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

In June 2014, Lori Matsukawa, co-anchor of KING 5 News, was inducted into the Silver Circle for Lifetime Achievement by the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The honor is presented to those who have worked in TV media for at least 25 years. Matsukawa has worked at KING for 31 years. She has received numerous other journalism awards and has been a mentor to journalism students. She served for years as the president of the board of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington. She also served on the board of the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Matsukawa is a graduate of the University of Washington and a member of the Puget Sound Association of Phi Beta Kappa, and spoke at our Fall 2013 luncheon (see pictures from the event).
