Christopher Lim was inducted into the University of Washington chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in 2007. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the UW, where he was part of the Academy for Young Scholars program. He currently works for Amazon.com as a software engineer. Lim's interest in the liberal arts grew from a love of music, having been a violinist in the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra's program growing up. His convictions of the value of the liberal arts for critical thinking and society at large were solidified when he read Mortimer Adler's How to Read a Book on the recommendation of author John Piper. Lim blogs at MeritAndGrace.com and tweets at @meritandgrace.
